Husband and wife team Dr. Mark T. Miller and Cindy Miller bring over 50 years of combined experience in emergency medicine, aesthetics, and healthcare leadership to The Alámar Integrative Medical Spa. Their shared vision is to create a wellness space where medical excellence meets personalized, integrative care.
Dr. Miller is a board-certified emergency physician with decades of experience in high-acuity hospital systems, EMS leadership, and military service as a Battalion Surgeon during Desert Storm. He currently serves as Chief of Emergency Medicine at Ascension Borgess Medical Center and is on the clinical faculty at Western Michigan University’s School of Medicine.
Cindy Miller is a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Forensic Nursing and a background that spans aesthetics, emergency care, and trauma-informed leadership. A former firefighter, bedside RN, and nursing administrator, she brings both clinical insight and compassion to every patient interaction. She’s also a certified Stop the Bleed and CPR instructor, mentor, and advocate for community safety and women’s leadership.
Together, Mark and Cindy blend strong clinical backgrounds with a commitment to safety, education, and patient-centered care. At The Alámar, they’ve created a restorative, elevated space where results, compassion, and whole-person wellness come together.
Longtime residents of the Saugatuck area, they enjoy boating, music, travel, and time with their blended family—including six grown children, their partners, and nine grandchildren.

Ashley Battell began her holistic healthcare journey in 2017 after moving to Michigan with her family, and she hasn’t stopped learning (or moving!) since. In 2018, she completed her certifications in Clinical Nutrition and Herbology through Blue Heron Academy. Soon after, she became a Registered 200-Hour Yoga and Barre Instructor, where her love for guiding people through movement and breath truly blossomed. You’ll often find those elements woven into her massage techniques today.
Never one to sit still, Ashley continued expanding her skillset and in 2024 became a Certified Thai Massage Practitioner through the Simplified Yoga Method. She followed that with advanced training in both Traditional and Table Thai Massage in 2025. Her biggest dream came full circle when she graduated from the Great Lakes School of Massage in June 2025 and officially stepped into her role as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Ashley’s layered background in movement, mindfulness, nutrition, and Thai bodywork gives her a unique, intuitive, and deeply grounding technique style. Her sessions are known for helping the body unwind while giving the nervous system space to breathe.
When she’s not helping others feel better in their bodies, Ashley is likely enjoying live music, dancing, traveling, yoga, weightlifting, kayaking, hiking, or skiing. She’s a proud wife and “mum” to a blended family that includes one stepson, two dogs, and two cats. Her family is currently building a homestead and dreaming of adding farm animals soon.
With a hippie heart, a free spirit, and a genuine love for people, Ashley brings warmth, joy, and compassion into every room — and every massage.
Alyssa is currently an esthetician student with a passion for skincare, wellness, and helping others feel their best. Outside of school, Alyssa enjoys spending quality time with family and is happily married, celebrating five wonderful years of marriage. A proud parent of two energetic sons, family life is at the heart of everything Alyssa does.
An avid reader, Alyssa finds joy in diving into a good book and cherishes the quiet moments that come with it. Fall is her favorite season, bringing a love for crisp air, cozy sweaters, and all things autumn. Known for their warmth and dedication, Alyssa brings both personal and professional passion to everything she pursues.
Grace Tucker is a licensed esthetician and proud member of the Douglas/Saugatuck community for over five years. A graduate of Hamilton High School, she went on to pursue her passion for skincare and beauty at The Salon Professional Academy, where she completed her professional training in aesthetics.
Grace is passionate about helping people feel confident in their skin and creating a space where they can relax, recharge, and leave feeling refreshed. Whether it’s a personalized facial or a calm moment in the treatment room, she’s committed to supporting each person’s self-care journey.
Outside of the spa, Grace also works at Clearbrook and enjoys camping, soaking up sunsets, and cozy nights with a skincare routine, pajamas, and an episode of Criminal Minds or Parks and Rec.

Grace Scott is a licensed esthetician with a deep passion for helping people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. After completing her aesthetics training at The Salon Professional Academy in 2024, she operated her own suite before joining the team at Alámar.
Grace thrives in this field and values building meaningful connections with her patients. She’s especially excited to offer lash extensions and continue advancing her skills with cutting-edge facial techniques.
When she’s not in the treatment room, Grace enjoys spending time with friends and family, relaxing, and recharging.

Noelle is a Spa Concierge and current nursing student at the University of Kentucky, entering her junior year. She brings warmth and hospitality to Alámar, ensuring every patient feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
In her free time, Noelle enjoys relaxing at the cottage and making summer memories with family and friends.
